The youth of our nation are our
most valuable resource. Providing them with the tools they need
for transitioning to adulthood is an extremely important task
for the adults in their lives. As they
are taught to thrive, not just survive, they become the leaders
of tomorrow we will need.
David
and Myra Vandy’s life mission to develop a practical blueprint
for assisting young men and women to successfully prepare for
life on their own is SMOOTH TRANSITIONS.
In order to bring this mission to fruition, the Vandys
have lived and worked with hundreds of youth as jobs counselors,
career consultants, transitional living program professionals,
treatment foster parents and house parents for more than a
decade.
As consultants through their HOPE JOURNEYS program,
the Vandys provide effective training sessions for individuals,
transitional living programs and school districts in the use of SMOOTH
TRANSITIONS since 2002.
They also provide in-depth 4 day training sessions for
residential programs in BUILDING CREDENTIALS,
their positive behavior management program. The Vandys are avid
world travelers and live in rural eastern North Carolina, where
they enjoy family, church, hiking and beautiful coastal Carolina.
